The SGS Group Germany Expands Its Environmental Expertise: The SGS Group Germany is further expanding its environmental expertise: AWIA Umwelt GmbH from Göttingen is now part of SGS. By integrating this well-established specialist in environmental analysis and engineering services, SGS is enhancing its technological capabilities and regional customer proximity.
 

Founded in 1999, AWIA Umwelt GmbH specializes in drinking water testing and environmental consulting services. With 36 employees and strong regional roots, the company ideally complements SGS’s existing environmental portfolio. For many years, AWIA Umwelt GmbH has maintained a close working relationship with the nearby SGS site in Göttingen. This long-standing connection is now being strategically deepened through the integration.
 

With this acquisition, the SGS Group Germany strengthens its market position in the field of environmental analysis and continues its growth strategy by systematically expanding its technical expertise, local presence, and customer-focused services.
