KE KELIT Group from Linz on the Danube/ Austria takes over all shares in DW Verbundrohr GmbH

KE KELIT Expands Its Activities in the German Market

The KE KELIT Group from Linz, Austria, has acquired all shares of the company DW Verbundrohr GmbH in Haßfurt. Both companies signed the contracts on April 9, 2018, in Frankfurt. The purchase price has been kept confidential.

Both KE KELIT and DW Verbundrohr, with its brand Multitubo, are well-known names in building services engineering and market systems for drinking water and heating installations. While DW Verbundrohr strategically focuses on multi-layer composite pipe systems, the Austrians have a much broader product range, including plastic, composite, stainless steel, and C-steel systems. Both companies follow a three-tier distribution channel, working through specialized wholesale distributors for heating and sanitary products. Their customer base includes installers, planning offices, housing companies, and other investors in the construction and building technology sectors. The two companies are already well-acquainted and work closely together in some areas.

"DW Verbundrohr, as a dynamically growing and successful company in the field of installation systems, is a perfect fit for our growth strategy and shares a very similar company culture," said Karl Egger, Managing Partner of KE KELIT. "We look forward to a successful future together and are confident that we will continue to develop the business successfully." Karl Egger, together with his sister Kristine Egger, manages the company in its third generation.

DW Verbundrohr will continue to operate largely independently in the German market, but synergies in purchasing and product range will of course be utilized.

Bernhard Dietz, founder and owner of DW Verbundrohr, is confident that, in partnership with KE KELIT, the company will continue to write its success story. "It is important to me to offer long-term security to my employees. Partnering with a strong company that fits well with us and opens up new perspectives allows us to continue to grow sustainably in the future. KE KELIT will benefit from our market access and knowledge, and we will gain access to new technologies and products."

Bernhard Dietz will continue to lead the company with his team. To support the collaboration with KE KELIT, Kristine Egger and Heiko Folgmann, who are responsible for business development and worldwide sales at KE KELIT, will be appointed as additional managing directors.
